Any change to the passport and our records will always require return of the passport to us. Please always make a photocopy of the details and silhouette pages in case of loss in the post.

Change of ownership or address

A change of ownership/change of permanent address of owner should be notified to us as soon as possible and within 30 days. Please enclose the passport and upon receipt we will send you an immediate acknowledgement. We aim to return the amended passport to you within 21 days, or we offer a fast track service (normally processed on the same working day and return by Royal Mail Special Delivery which guarantees delivery by 1pm the next working day for an additional £20).

Please note it is an offence not to advise us of change of owner within 30 days. If you don’t register your change of ownership and the passport is subsequently lost or stolen you may need to obtain fresh silhouettes from your vet and the process can become lengthy and expensive.

Print the enclosed form and fill in the new details in black ink and block capitals to avoid the risk of error.

Change of Address – Members Free (one per year), Non Members £10.00
Registration/change of horse's keeper – Members Free (one per year), Non Members £20.00
Minor changes e.g. add a freeze mark or microchip number. Members free, Non Members £7.50 (NB Freeze marks and Microchips are always included free when part of a new passport application)

Death of a Horse
The death of a horse should also be notified. Please return the passport to us for cancellation advising the date of death. The passport can be returned to you upon request.
